Tech Partnership careers site to highlight tech sector’s opportunities
TechFuture Careers provides multimedia content to inform students and young people aged 14 and above about the breadth of careers in tech.
Visitors to the site can discover their potential as designers, developers and technical engineers though a personality and skills-based quiz before learning about typical progression routes and the qualifications they might need to achieve their dream job role through interactive flowcharts.
Leading employers of tech professionals including ASOS and Tata Consultancy Services have contributed content to the site, showcasing their company profiles and stats, and inviting young people to view internship and job opportunities on their own websites.
‘We’re really excited about this site and its potential to encourage young people into tech careers,’ said Laura Ferguson, Head of Schools on behalf of the Tech Partnership. ‘This site can really show young people the variety of tech careers available in any sector and help them unlock their potential.’
Employment of tech specialists is growing over four times faster than any other UK profession and over 11% of companies anticipate hiring more junior-level tech specialists in 2015.
